 Classic Calligraphy Mission Statement My mission is to provide quality hand-lettered gifts at an affordable price. I hope to touch the hearts of many, and to brighten the days of many more. Hi and Welcome! Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm Robin Kalina and I'd like to take a moment to tell you a little about myself. When I was ten years old, I started to keep a journal. It was not a typical journal though. Everything written in my journal was an inspiring poem or an interesting quote or cliche? I had heard or read about. This became a passion for me and in no time I was writing my own poems. Over the years as I and my collection grew, I felt destined to become a writer or journalist, at least until I picked up a calligraphy pen!!! God gave me a special gift, and for the last 25 years I have been perfecting that gift and running a successful calligraphy business. Besides, my poetry wasn't really that great! So I took my collection of quotes, cliches, and poems that I compiled over the years and put my pen to it! In my early years, I found no relevance in collecting author's names as well as poems. When I realized that the work and the author needed to go together, I began searching for the authors of whom to give credit to. Although there are still many pieces unclaimed, I continue to search and take no credit as the author in any of my work, only as the calligrapher. I believe if there are words that inspire you, motivate you, or just put a smile on your face every time your read them, then these are the words you should have hanging in plain sight to be read often, instead of being tucked away in a book or a drawer.
